After the assessment, customers receive a customized report from a certified energy advisor and are currently eligible for an instant 70 percent rebate (up to $1,750) to offset installation costs for recommended energy-saving projects.
Businesses can also take advantage of a wide variety of program offerings, including technical assistance, energy assessments and cash rebates for reducing therm use. Businesses that enroll are eligible to receive incentives ranging from $75 rebates for space heating equipment all the way up to $500,000 for custom natural gas saving projects.
For example, Dominican University in River Forest recently implemented steam system improvements that will help the facility save more than 132,000 therms annually. Dominican University was awarded a $132,000 rebate check for their efforts.
