Bill Payment FAQs
When is my Nicor Gas bill due?
Your Nicor gas bill is due on or before the due date shown on your bill stub. Commercial customer bills are due 14 days after they are issued.
Where should I mail my payment?
P.O. Box 5407
Carol Stream, IL 60197-5407
What happens if my bank won't pay my check or transfer?
If your bank returns a check to Nicor Gas, or an electronic transfer is refused due to insufficient funds, an additional $16 charge will be added to your account and will appear on your next bill.
What should I do if I can't pay my bill on time?
Your best option to avoid a late payment is to pay electronically using a bank account or credit card. Online payments are available when you register for My Account. Our convenient AutoPay option allows you to make an automatic monthly payment, which will guarantee that your payment will always be on-time.
Can I save money by having my meter turned off when I am not using gas?
If you request that your meter be turned off during an absence of less than 12 months, you are considered a seasonal customer. When your meter is turned back on, you'll be required to pay the monthly customer charge (or minimum customer bill) for the time your meter was off. A reconnection charge will also apply.
