How We Give
At Nicor Gas, our values shape how we care for our customers and give back to our communities. We strive to create a more resilient region by investing in the growth and potential of people and organizations throughout Northern Illinois.
Corporate Giving
Corporate Giving is our primary mechanism for supporting local nonprofit organizations that align with our strategic initiatives and pillars of giving. On an annual basis, Nicor Gas provides upwards of $2.5M in corporate grants.
The Nicor Gas Foundation
The Nicor Gas Foundation allows us to broaden our charitable reach, focusing on Illinois-based nonprofits that support community enrichment, economic mobility and environmental stewardship.
Nicor Illinois Community Investment (NICI)
NICI is a standalone foundation established by Nicor Gas in 2021. NICI supports bold economic development initiatives that help local communities. NICI's place-based approach prioritizes investments in Joliet, Rockford and South Suburban Cook County.

Nicor Gas serves more than 650 communities across Northern Illinois. In 2025, Nicor Gas and its foundations supported 336 organizations across Illinois with more than $6M in donations.
