Nicor Gas Foundation contributes $50,000 to Safer Foundation's Reducing Barriers to Access Jobs Program

The Nicor Gas Foundation contributed $50,000 to the Safer Foundation's Reducing Barriers to Access Jobs Program. This grant will support the vital initiative dedicated to serving justice-impacted individuals by providing essential services such as employment training, job placement, re-entry support and mental health and wellness assistance.

The Safer Foundation’s Reducing Barriers to Access Jobs Program plays a crucial role in helping many individuals reenter the community from prison or jail, providing them with the resources they need to successfully reintegrate and thrive.

During a recent visit, Nicor Gas President & CEO Wendell Dallas had the opportunity to tour the Safer Foundation's Reconstruction Technology Partners Construction Training Program. This remarkable program offers hands-on training and real-world experience in the construction field, equipping participants with the skills needed to build a brighter future. With the support of Nicor Gas, the Safer Foundation will be able to continue its efforts to eliminate obstacles and create opportunities for individuals in need of assistance.
