NAPERVILLE, Ill. – June 3, 2024 - Expanding on its commitment to support critical needs across its service territory, Nicor Gas is announcing $100,000 in funding to support basic human needs programming.
Applications are being accepted from organizations and nonprofits to support their initiatives that provide food, shelter, clothing and disaster relief to the community. The application period closes Aug. 31 with funding decisions by Oct. 31. Selected nonprofits and community organizations will be eligible to receive up to $5,000 in grant funds this year. The company is committed to providing relief to customers in need of extra assistance with their most basic needs.
“At Nicor Gas, we believe that a thriving community is built on health and stability,” said Jackie Nagel, manager of Community Affairs. “We are proud to partner with organizations that make a difference in the lives of our neighbors by meeting their basic needs and offering essential assistance.”
