NAPERVILLE, IL. –July 11, 2022 – For more than 25 years, Nicor Gas employees and their families have rolled up their sleeves to donate their time and resources to community organizations across the company’s service territory during the annual Volunteer Week every summer. This year, employees donated more than 600 hours of service at nearly a dozen projects across northern Illinois.
“At Nicor Gas, we are committed to serving our communities and customers beyond the delivery of clean, safe and reliable natural gas service,” said Wendell Dallas, president and CEO of Nicor Gas. “This year’s Volunteer Week is my first with Nicor Gas, and I am proud to be a part of a team of dedicated employees who are passionate about volunteerism and serving their neighbors right here at home.”

Packed more than eight tons of food – the equivalent of the weight of a school bus – that will provide 14,620 meals at the Northern Illinois Food Banks in Joliet and Rockford.
Provided 520 grocery bags of food for 130 households at Restoration Ministries in Harvey.
