Nicor Gas and our charitable foundations aim to be a catalyst for positive impact in our communities and environment. That is why we champion the work of nonprofit partners that advance lives in the places we live, work and serve.
In the past five years, Nicor Gas and our foundations have contributed over $20 million to nonprofits supporting economic mobility, environmental stewardship and community enrichment. Our people have volunteered with hundreds of community organizations.

Strategic partnerships are offered by invitation only. We've focused these partnerships on non-profit organizations with a broad reach in our service territory that can make great strides to help us meet our three strategic objectives: supporting basic needs, protecting the environment and enabling economic opportunity.
Pillars of Giving
Outside of our strategic partnerships, we focus our charitable giving in five areas: Basic Needs, Community Enrichment, Diversity, Education and Environmental Stewardship. Pillar grants are open to eligible non-profits that fall into these five focus areas.
