Providing affordable, healthy energy solutions
The Nicor Gas Energy Efficiency Program is collaborating with a number of community organizations to provide critical home improvements to customers with respiratory challenges through the Healthy Homes offering. This unique program combines traditional home weatherization services and energy efficiency improvements with health and safety improvements, offering a whole home approach to improve quality of life, home comfort and affordability year-round.
Eligibility Requirements
Qualifying participants must:
- Be a Nicor Gas customer
- Meet the income requirements
- Get a referral from a participating provider and receive a code
- Be a homeowner or renter (all home types are eligible)
Services Provided
Free products and services may include:
- Energy-saving products such as thermostats and furnace filters
- Weatherization improvements such as sealing and insulation
- Furnace repairs
- Health and safety upgrades
