Celebrate Earth Month with energySMART at Party for the Planet

NAPERVILLE, Ill. – April 12, 2019

Over the last eight years, energySMART, a Nicor Gas program, has helped more than 600,000 customers save more than 103 million therms and conserve 6.5 billion gallons of water – that’s the same amount of water that passes through Niagara Falls in 12 hours. Celebrate Earth Month and see how just a few drops can make an impact at Party for the Planet, Sunday, April 14, at Brookfield Zoo.

Party for the Planet attendees can pick up a free energy-saving kit at the energySMART booth, create suncatchers and pledge to save water in their homes. Guests can also receive energy-saving tips and information from energy experts.

Nicor Gas has a longstanding partnership with Brookfield Zoo, focused on promoting conservation in the communities it serves throughout northern Illinois. In addition to the energySMART booth, the Zoo will host a recycling event, tree planting and animal chats.
