NAPERVILLE, Ill. – April 18, 2018 – Go green with energySMART, a Nicor Gas program, during Party for the Planet at Brookfield Zoo this Earth Day, Sunday, April 22. Nicor Gas believes it’s important to protect and preserve the environment and has a longstanding partnership with Brookfield Zoo, focused on promoting conservation in communities throughout northern Illinois.
During the conservation celebration at Brookfield Zoo, Party for the Planet attendees can pick up a free energy-saving kit at the energySMART booth, help create an Earth Day mural and meet some of the zoo’s animal ambassadors. Snap a selfie at the photo station by the energySMART booth and share on social media using #watchsavingsgrow.
Free parking will be available in the zoo’s north lot for those who participate in the recycling drive. Computers, home entertainment items and small electronics, office equipment and products, small home appliances, home improvement products and textiles will be accepted for recycling at the North Gate Parking Lot 9:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
